Budapest Pride 2011

The Budapest Pride event including parade took place on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Thousands of people demonstrated against discrimination of gay, bisexual and transgender people. Representatives from Amnesty International attended the event including Nicolas Berger, Director of the EU Office, Orsolya Jeney, Director AI Hungary and Anna Dovgopol, AI Ukraine among others.

Other interviewees include Vladimir Simonko, Lithuanian Gay League, Kinga Goncz / Kinga Göncz, Hungarian Member of the European Parliament and Sofie in't Veld, Dutch Member of the European Parliament.

Video also includes footage of heavy police presence at the protest march and some shots of counter demonstrations and counter demonstrators.
